Park City Arts Festival

Like tradition has come to be, the Kimball Arts Center has always become the venue for the Park City Arts Festival and the 2010 edition was not an exception. This happens to be among the premier events in the country that takes place during the month of August when summer is at its best in Park City, Utah. The Park City Arts Festival 2010 took place from 6th – 8th August, 2010, and it was such a large event you could not afford to miss. What with over 230 artists in attendance and they were all going to be juried during their performances. The whole event was going to cover close to 12 categories which is such a wide array taking care of all your tastes.

The three day Park City Kimball Arts festival was a three day event that had more than 45,000 people attending taking their time to watch exhibitors who covered more than 12 areas which included painting, jewelry, photography, sculpture, performing arts among others. This is usually one of the largest artistic events in the entire Park City area which occupies an important place in the Park City Calendar of events. The 2010 edition was also a special fundraising event during the park City Kimball Arts Festival Opening Night Gala Auction.

Among the categories that were represented during the Park City Arts Festival 2010 included: metalwork, jewelry, drawing, fiber, ceramics, glass, printmaking, photography, painting, mixed media, wood and sculpture. There was also a special line that included young emerging artists who were making their debuts in the park City Kimball Arts Festival as well as the usually multi year veterans. Many other locally bases and internationally acclaimed artists were all invited to put their best foot forward.

The 2010 edition of the park City Kimball Arts festival was actually able to live up to its reputation of not disappointing especially where delivery was concerned. The jury was at pains to separate the chaff from the wheat because all the exhibitors had done their homework well in terms of creativity and presentation. And as it usually happens every year the festival was full of pleasant surprises as both artists and attendees experienced a new dimension in arts once again. There were also many new elements in the entire Park City Arts Festival 2010 which made it a real multi-sensory art experience that leaves very little for the imagination.

When all is said and done, the Park City Kimball Arts Festival has always amazed attendees with amount of variety that keeps on increasing every year. This is a highly recommended festival which makes your visit to this vacation destination well worth the effort and you get a real return for all your money. The Park City Arts Festival 2010 can actually boast of having had completely no competition because it such a great place to be in. When you consider that that entry fee was a paltry $8 then you can be sure that the value far exceeds that nominal entrance fee.
